There's something about Michiel Huisman that immediately turns heads.
Perhaps it's the piercing blue eyes. The perfectly trimmed beard. Or the man's impeccable ability to rock a sharply tailored suit. Whatever the reason, there's no denying that beneath the actor's allure lies an insanely sculpted physique.
When your day-job involves seducing a queen and slaying men with swords on Game of Thrones—he plays mercenary Daario Naharis— being able to take your shirt off in an instant is a given. "On that show I'm either wearing armor or I'm either not wearing anything," Huisman tells InStyle.
So what's his secret to staying so toned? The actor, who stars opposite Blake Lively in The Age of Adaline, shared the details with us at Chanel's 10th annual Tribeca Film Festival Artists dinner in New York last night.
Rather than bulldoze 200-plus pound weights across a gym floor, Huisman uses his own strength (think push-ups, pull-ups, squats, and sit-ups) to monkey around on the jungle gym. "I work out on playgrounds at 6 in the morning," he says. "I did work with a trainer for a long time but not anymore. I don't have time for it, so I just do it wherever I can. Body weight."
While he may be accustomed to baring it all, Huisman spends much more of his time looking primed for the red carpet. The frontman of Chanel's fall 2014 No. 5 campaign film donned a spring-ready navy Jack Wills suit with a thin tan belt and a chic leaf-print Haspel shirt for the brand's dinner. Our man crush, indeed.
