On a fateful Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Carolyn Maria Roberts tragically passed away, leaving her family in shock and grief.

Carolyn’s family fondly remembers her as a recent graduate of Slippery Rock University, where she had realized her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. She dedicated herself to special education and youth work at a preschool under UPMC. Carolyn was known for her love of laughter and cherished moments spent with friends. Her years of involvement at Sarah Heinz House had instilled in her the importance of embracing individuals from all walks of life.

Carolyn was a fierce advocate for equality and civil rights, believing in the fair and respectful treatment of all. She was also an animal lover and a devoted “fur parent” to her dog, Mocha, whom she shared with her partner, Tyson.

Carolyn leaves behind her grieving father, T.S. Roberts, her brother, Timmy Roberts, and her mother, Michele Pail. The family is now in need of support to arrange the final farewell for Sissy, who passed away suddenly. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

She will be missed beyond measure by her mother Michele Pail, her father T.S. Roberts and brother Timmy Roberts.
